Following the MiHIA Community Coalition Accelerator Workshop on August 8, 2018, the Non-Opioid / Non-Pharma Priority Sub-workgroup set forth to accomplish the agreed upon regional goal through completion of aligning key strategies.
GOAL: To increase the overall well-being of children and increasing positive relationships and sense of belonging while building assets to prevent future risk-taking behaviors within the MiHIA region
Key Strategy 1.1: Create a holistic list of programs within the region that are doing this prevention work and narrow a pilot site

Key Strategy 1.2: Create a presentation toolkit that shares data about today’s youth, the needs in our communities and ways they can help in this prevention work.

Key Strategy 2.2: Train Ambassadors and identify targeted groups they could educate and inspire, giving participants specific opportunities to volunteer.
