Specialisterne (Danish for "the Specialists") was founded in Denmark in 2004 and is a workforce development social enterprise that provides assessment & training for individuals who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis to help clarify and develop their personal and professional competencies and to provide business consultancy services to customers using the specialized focus of these individuals.

Goal / Mission

Specialisterne provides training, education and employment for people with autism and similar challenges.

Impact

Specialisterne seeks to enable one million jobs worldwide for a target population that would otherwise face substantial barriers to employment.

Results / Accomplishments

Specialisterne, Denmark, and the overall Specialisterne concept, are owned by the Specialist People Foundation (SPF), a charitable foundation whose goals are to enable one million jobs worldwide for this target population. Specialisterne America seeks to replicate this model as a sustainable business, in 10-12 regions across the U.S. Currently they are active in 3 U.S. regions, the Mid Atlantic, the Midwest and the Southwest.
