  • Fall 2019: 2 of 7 available hospitals received a Letter Grade of 'A', 2 of 7 received a Letter Grade of 'B' and 3 received a grade of 'C'
 
Comments:
  • Grades available for 7 hospitals within the MiHIA region: Covenant Medical Center Harrison Campus, McLaren Bay Region, McLaren Central Michigan, MidMichigan Medical Center-Gratiot, MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland, St. Mary's of Michigan of Saginaw, and West Branch Regional Medical Center (now MidMichigan Medical Center - West Branch)
  • From Spring 2019 to Fall 2019:
    • 1 improved from 'C' to 'B'
    • 2 maintained Grade of 'A', 1 maintained a Grade of 'B'
    • Declines occurred: 1 declined from Grade 'B to C'

Measure: Improve overall patient satisfaction

Status: Goal Met, as of Spring 2019
Comments: 
  • Saginaw has had the greatest change over the full trend period (Q1/14-Q4/14 to Q317-2Q18), improving by 4.84% while Lansing has improved by 2.62%
  • This measure is used to assess adult inpatients' perception of their hospital. Patients rate their hospital on a scale from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst hospital possible and 10 is the best hospital possible.
MiHIA Portfolio to Improve Overall Patient Satisfaction:

Measure: Decrease emergency department visits per 1,000 beneficiaries to ≤ National Average

Status: Goal Met as of Spring 2019
Comments:
  • Both Saginaw and Lansing saw increases from the Q1/16-Q4/16 to Q3/17-Q2/18; Saginaw increasing from 786 to 803 and Lansing increasing from 739 to 753
  • Overall, both Saginaw and Lansing have decreased over the span of the full trend period (Q1/11-Q4/11 to Q3/17-Q2/18), with Saginaw seeing the steadiest increase from 700 to 803 followed by Lansing from 694 to 753.
