In June 2018, MiHIA incorporated Provide Well-Being into the Quadruple Aim with the understanding and belief that organizations who take better care of their people will develop a massive competitive advantage; happier, healthier providers deliver higher quality care, with better patient satisfaction and are more engaged in their organizations.
MiHIA 2018 - 2024 PROVIDER WELL-BEING MACRO GOAL:
By 2020, establish baseline measurement of provider well-being utilizing the Mini-Z Survey (AMA) and sustainable process for assessing provider well-being in the region
Seeking funding opportunities with the goal to implement
MiHIA submitted “Provide Well: Improving Provider Well-Being in the MiHIA Region” grant application on March 2018 to Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) Foundation for spring 2018 funding period; purpose of grant project was to improve provider well-being throughout MiHIA 14 county region, partnering with six regional healthcare systems to reduce burnout, improve resilience, and assist in spreading resources to better manage operational stress; received notification in May 2018 that grant was not funded.
