Kosher Meals for the Homebound

A Good Idea

Description

Kosher Meals for the Homebound provides nutritious, frozen glatt kosher meals to seniors who have difficulty shopping and cooking. Every week, volunteers contact clients to establish their choices from a wide-ranging menu which includes accommodations for a low-salt diet. Meals are delivered to clients' homes and can be heated to eat at a convenient time.

Goal / Mission

Kosher Meals for the Homebound is a program of Dorot, which alleviates social isolation among the elderly and provides services to help them live independently as valued members of the community.

Results / Accomplishments

Kosher meals are provided to clients on a weekly basis.
