Healthcare delivery in the U.S. contains too much duplication and waste and sometimes comes at an unnecessary increased risk to the patient. Patients need tools to gain better information about what care they truly need, as well as the ability to talk with their physicians to get that information.
Leveraging the reach of 20+ Choosing Wisely® partners, MiHIA will provide education on the most up-to-date recommendations to 10,000+ physicians and consumers as well as tools and tips on how to improve physician-patient communication.
Impact within Rural Physician Office will result in increased knowledge of the Choosing Wisely recommendation among physicians and patients; integration of Choosing Wisely materials into the patient experience at each rural office; and patients will play a more active role in their care.
